Accelerating Emergency Response with Advanced air Mobility

Medical emergencies like cardiac arrest, stroke, major trauma, and overdose are time-sensitive events that demand immediate response. Yet, traditional emergency response is often delayed by traffic congestion, logistical obstacles, and in lower density areas by distance or terrain. Akute eliminates or drastically reduces mortality and complications from these major medical risks by empowering first responders with cutting-edge mobility technology, enabling them to reach patients faster and more effectively than ever before.

Our Solution

Akute leverages advanced aerial and electric mobility solutions (AAM), augmented reality (AR) and extended reality (XR) for enhanced aviation and telemedicine support, and AI throughout a comprehensive tech stack that empowers paramedics to deliver critical, life-saving care within minutes. By integrating these powerful technologies, Akute augments the capabilities of first responders, enabling them to navigate, assess, and act swiftly and accurately in urgent situations. Together, our responders can move with instant readiness, ease, and intuitive precision—ensuring safety and maximizing impact when every second counts. This technology suite equips paramedics to not only reach patients rapidly but also to deliver enhanced care at the scene, bridging gaps in emergency response and saving lives when it matters most.

How We Operate

Our approach unfolds in two key phases:

1. Demonstration Phase: Partnering with world-leading technology companies, Akute is working to pilot an emergency response system that combines eVTOL mobility with first responder expertise. Through carefully designed demonstrations, we will showcase the viability and safety of deploying paramedics directly to emergency locations via air, providing a real-world model of rapid-response efficacy. The first demo flight took place in September 2024, the second continuous operation will be in December 2024, before a longer permanent operation will be setup during 2025.

2. Deployment Phase: Once operational effectiveness is proven, Akute aims to scale the technology through collaboration with municipalities, healthcare providers, and emergency response organizations. Our nonprofit model will ensure that advanced, high-speed emergency response is available for communities that need it most, overcoming financial barriers and prioritizing public health impact.

Akute exists to bridge the gap between technology and critical care, empowering first responders to save lives faster and more effectively. Through strategic partnerships and a relentless focus on innovation, Akute will redefine emergency response for a safer, healthier future.

Our Unique Nonprofit Advantage

As a nonprofit organization, Akute is uniquely positioned to provide public and private emergency agencies with critical knowledge, technology, and financial resources essential for adopting advanced mobility solutions. Our nonprofit status allows us to tap into the core of federal aviation regulations and the social contract that has historically accelerated the adoption of high-impact technologies for public good. This framework enables Akute to leverage and implement new technologies in life-saving applications well before commercial use becomes widely available. By prioritizing public benefit, Akute works to ensure that this groundbreaking technology reaches the areas that need it most, setting a new standard in emergency response capabilities.
